About the STEM Program
STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM education involves learning science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in an interdisciplinary way with practical application. Unlike traditional school education, which separates subjects, Bioteka teaches STEM by using knowledge from all these areas, encouraging problem-solving through learning that isn’t confined to “subjects in separate boxes” but is based on practical application. STEM education is the education for the 21st century, and we approach it with this mindset!
In our program, we develop key skills for the future!
STEM education helps children develop problem-solving skills, creative and critical thinking, analytical approaches, communication, and teamwork. In a world where future careers cannot even be predicted, developing these competencies is crucial and more important than just factual knowledge.
By participating in Bioteka’s STEM program, your child will increase their interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, opening the door to a wide range of future careers! Jobs in STEM fields are growing faster than in other sectors, and employers are looking for candidates with STEM skills. In our program, we recognize the strengths and weaknesses of each participant and tailor our methods to achieve the best results and significant progress! Regular communication with parents in the form of progress reports every three months will confirm this quickly.
Additionally, with our pedagogical approach and expert work methods, we gain insight into each child’s socio-emotional skills, and incorporate an educational component into our work.
Our participants use more than 50 modern STEM tools and devices, from underwater and aerial drones, robots, 3D printer, and VR headsets to biological, laboratory, field, and other equipment, providing them with access to the latest technology and resources.
Finally, our workshops are incredibly fun for children! Check out photos of past participants!
Workshop organization and content
The program includes project-based, research, and experimental learning, providing children with practical experience in numerous and diverse STEM topics to explore the wide range of possibilities in STEM careers.
The nine-month STEM program is divided into three modules of three months each, with the final month dedicated to evaluating children’s progress, assessing the program, and presenting the final projects to parents and the public.
All participants start at Level 1. After we assess your child’s progress and abilities, which happens after each three-month module, participants who quickly master the program will receive a Level 1 completion certificate and be promoted to Level 2. At this level, the content and teaching methods will be adjusted to their advanced skills and abilities. Level 2 schedule will be arranged with parents later.
We periodically include topics suggested by the participants or their parents. Your opinion is extremely important to us, so enroll your child, fill out the application form, and share your vision of future education with us!
