STEM Mobile laboratory delights Split: over 1,000 students explore the world of STEM!
In November and December, our STEM Mobile Laboratory traveled to Split where we conducted the “STEM Mobile Laboratory in Split” project!
As part of the project, we visited five elementary schools in Split: OŠ Kamen-Šine, OŠ Visoka, OŠ Lokve-Gripe, OŠ Blatine-Škrape, and OŠ Skalice, with a total of 1,013 students participating in the workshops!
Through this program, students explored STEM fields and professions through hands-on, practical, and research-based experiences. Topics included nature and environmental protection, local biodiversity, the intersection of humans and technology, and healthy living! Students investigated these topics across three research stations using equipment such as digital magnifiers, microscopes, binoculars, telescopes, stethoscopes, water, soil, and insect investigation kits, underwater drones, dozens of interactive measuring instruments, various educational robots, and more. Take a look at our photo gallery to see how it went!
The workshops were held on November 28th and 29th, as well as December 10th, 11th, and 12th, 2024, as part of the “STEM Mobile Laboratory in Split” project, which was funded through the City of Split’s 2024 Association Grant Program in the field of extracurricular education for children. The program focused on the education of healthy living, nature conservation, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
Project Duration: September 1st – December 31st, 2024
