Bioteka - udruga za promicanje biologije i srodnih znanosti

Enroll your child in Bioteka’s Field Researchers 2022/2023!

After the success of last year’s Bioteka Field Researchers, we are continuing this truly special program again this year!

The goal of the program is to explore local biodiversity, investigate nature in the field, discuss environmental issues and climate change, learn about sustainable development, and raise awareness of the need to protect nature and the environment. Additionally, we aim to encourage logical and critical thinking and help students integrate their school knowledge with real-world examples—both living and non-living—that we find in nature.

The program is packed with hands-on activities, educational and fun games, research, a multidisciplinary approach, and of course, Bioteka’s signature style, which guarantees an engaging learning experience that children love.

This program is intended for students who have previously attended Bioteka’s long-term programs, including STEM workshops, PANDA – project-based learning for gifted children, and last year’s Bioteka Field Researchers (2021/2022). However, all other interested young explorers are welcome to join.

Bioteka’s Field Researchers meet every other Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM, exploring different green areas in our city each time. We start on October 15, 2022.

Why Learn in Nature?

Outdoor learning improves results in reading, math, and natural and social sciences, while also benefiting children’s mental health.
Learning in nature fosters attitudes that support sustainable development (learn more [here]).
Stronger environmental awareness—students who spend time in nature form a deeper connection with it.
